HOUSTON, TEXAS – January 14, 2016 – Jake’s Finer Foods announced this week the next generation of company leadership.
Effective January 1, 2016, the new company leadership consists of:
• Kevin Ullrich, CEO
• Michael Bench, President
• Jason Blackshear, Executive Vice President
In these new roles, Kevin and Michael will work together as partners, ultimately reporting to Jake’s customers whom we have always viewed as our only true “boss,” as well as to Jake’s Board of Directors. Leonard M. Bench, Jake’s longtime President/CEO has become the company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and will continue to be involved in Jake’s management in that position.
The announcement comes as part of Jake’s 70th anniversary. Jake’s Finer Foods was founded in 1946 by Leonard Bench’s mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louise and Kervin Jacob. Their hard work, determination and positive attitude set the foundation for the company, which has grown from selling 11 dozen eggs its first week in business to being a thriving and successful leader in the foodservice industry today.
